It seems like my blog has become an endless formspring blog...

Do you have to be a professional actress to audition for one of the international disney parks? Like have a headshot, experiance, etc.? I can dance okay but I've never really acted before... Are the international auditions much more intense than the cp?

The CP auditions are almost identical to the WDW auditions- I have never been to an audition for any of the parks outside the US. I would imagine that for the specific acting roles you need a headshot and resume and you would have to do a monologue. For character roles, all of that probably isn't needed. The only thing with the international parks is that they don't have many auditions in the US for them. Sometimes they do, but like Disneyland Paris holds auditions in France and England, Tokyo and Hong Kong hold a lot of their auditions in Australia. They sometimes have US auditions, though- you would just have to watch disneyauditions.com

Q: Do you know what size Ariel's fin goes up too? I was thinking maybe a 4...or thoughts?

Truthfully- I really don't know. I have heard that most of the princess dresses go up to a 10, but I've never heard about Ariel's fin.

Q: you're an acting major. but thats such an uncertain field and the degree doesn't guarantee you'll get a job. what if you can't make enough money to support yourself? you said Face get $11.75 starting and thats not a lot. what your back-up plan?

A:

Believe me- I knew going into this that I wasn't guaranteed to make a lot of money in this profession. They tell us the first day of school that if you're in this for the $, you're in the wrong profession. I can do acting anywhere- so I can move around if I need to find work, but if I can't do well in acting I have other plans. I may get a second degree in Broadcast Journalism to fall back on. And I have lots of other interests and skills- so if acting doesn't work out- I should be fine.

I need to clarify something on that one answer- I misread and then got what you had asked as soon as I hit Send lol - I'm not sure if face CP's get as much as regular CM's. I don't know anyone who is face in the CP.

what if you never get hired at Disney?

Well I intend to continue auditioning until they do hire me lol they'll finally hire me just so that I'll stop badgering them. But if I don't get at WDW- I'm going to try for Disneyland in CA. If I don't get either, I'm either going to try auditioning for other theme parks or move to LA and try my hand at TV/movies. I'm an acting major, so no matter what, I'm going to be performing somewhere.

A:

Well it depends on the role- Attractions starts @ $7.35/hr, QSFB starts at $7.85/hr, Characters receive more- Face get $11.75 starting, Fur get $9.00/hr.

Hi.

I have nothing to talk about.

Well not really, I guess. I'm just one of those people who isn't preparing to leave for Disney- not really planning a vacation- and has nothing too exciting going on in her life lol

I'm going to be done with my Junior year of college in about 3 weeks. That's crazy. But very exciting!

I am considering going to the May 13th Character Look-a-like audition in Orlando. I figure why not give it one more try before the time comes to apply for the CP. It's either they say no again (which I have gotten used to unfortunately) or they say "Welcome to Disney!" And I am totally okay with both of those options.

Other than that.... I don't have much to talk about.

I might be posting a vlog soon with some of my favorite WDW fiction books, so watch for that.

Q: I see that you think Ariel is a long shot for you--why do you say that? From the pictures I saw, I think you look better in the Ariel wig than in Snow White.

A:

I just think my coloring isn't the greatest for Ariel- I'm really pale with really dark eyebrows. That just leads me to think I am better suited to Snow and/or Belle. I have ways to make my eyebrows red, so if they're okay with that, then I'm probably an okay Ariel, too. I just know that a lot of girls who play Ariel are natural blondes, because then they can make their eyebrows look naturally red. (I guess lol)

Q: whats ur backup plan if you dont make entertainment for the cp?

A: If I don't get entertainment, I'd love to do Attractions. Spieling rides like Jungle and GMR are my first choice, but I know those are tough to get. But Attractions would be my second choice. And then I would continue to audition for entertainment to extend and then hopefully go FT.

Q: What do you think are belle's facial characteristics? I've looked at pictures on flikr, but it's hard to see patterns... What's your opinion?

A:

I agree- Belle does seem to have a lot of leniency when it comes to her face characteristics. I know for most of the princesses they like big eyes. In the movie she seems to have more of a heart shaped or round face and I have seen Belle's with that, but I have also seen girls with longer faces.

I haven't posted in a while, but that's because of Spring Break!

I had a great time in WDW - I'm not going to write too much about it because I have videos. And videos are always more entertaining than reading about experiences! Just check out my youtube channel for all of the Spring Break silliness!

In other news- WDW posted new auditions on disneyauditions.com. They are having character look-a-like auditions on May 13th. I really want to go to these auditions.. like bad. But I feel like there are more cons than pros for this audition...

Pros:
- Possibility of getting a job
- Even if I don't, WDW will have seen me again before the CP audition

Cons:
- $$ for flying and staying
- Possibility of not getting a job (all the time, effort, and money for nothing)
- Just a Look-a-like audition. No dancing to give me a leg up.

I don't know... I would love to go, but I'm just not sure if it's a wise choice. I'm not giving up- I just don't know if I should do this.

Any of you have any advice?
